The 2009 S-Class is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sedan, or luxury sports sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the S550 to the S600. Without a doubt one of the most amazing cars ever to roll out of a Mercedes dealership. Drives great, extremely comfortable and roomy and performs like a dream. and the 4MATIC is amazing in the snow and I am totally comfortable driving in any weather. I have 2 young kids as well and they are totally comfortably riding in the back for hours and we can take a road trip with no problems whatsoever. Also, plenty of trunk space. The steering can be a little bit wobbly sometimes but for a car that size it drives unbelievably anyways so just a few steering issues is really nothing. The cold weather package is sometimes a pain in the neck to try and sync up all the seats to heat and to get the inside a right temperature but compared to our other cars it's really not so bad! It's also an extremely safe car, although fortunately we haven't had to see that side of it yet. As for the low reliability rating I gave it, we had a few general problems with the car as soon as we hit 40,000 miles, just problems with the engine cooling systems and the air conditioner, but they were under warranty and didn't cost us anything to repair, but it was kind of annoying having a $100,000 car not be 100% working. Anyways, overall it's an unbelievable car and I would recommend it to anybody
Upon introduction, the S550 is equipped with a standard 5.5-liter, V8, 382-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The S600 is equipped with a standard 5.5-liter, V12, 510-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
Pros
Absolutely everything
Cons
Steering can be a little iffy and the cold weather package is kind of complicated to warm the car up Purchased As New
